Spring Hill Arts Gathering announces lineup for in-person festival this summer!
The Spring Hill Arts Gathering (SHAG) will deliver a multi-day outdoor and semi-enclosed cultural program this summer starting July 29th – August 1st and August 6th – 8th. The Festival will connect artists with nature and encourage diverse perspectives with creative collaborations and discussions. Programs will be provided by a rich combination of local, national and international artists, arts groups and organizations.

SCHEDULE
Weekend 1:
Thursday, July 29: Opening Night with performances by New York City-based Bossa Nova band A Lua, and violinist Robert McDuffie. Festive seated dinner.
Friday, July 30: TodayTix Presents Ariana Debose, supported by The Doo Wop Project, and Graydon Carter interviewed by journalist Marcia De Sanctis.
Saturday, July 31: SHAG with Pride in the Hills, featuring: Sophie B. Hawkins, Alex Newell, Mila Jam, Shequida Hall, DJ Zeke Thomas, Jeremiah Lloyd Harmon, and more. Guest Creative Director Chris Herrmann.
Sunday, August 1: Daytime programs in collaboration with the Art For Justice Fund. Evening performances by Terri Lyne Carrington + Social Science, Etienne Charles and Creole Soul.
Weekend 2:
Friday, August 6: Dance by Pilobolus, Connecticut Ballet, Music from the Sole, Brother(hood) Dance!; music by Imanigold, DJ Arvolyn Hill.
Saturday, August 7: Music by KT Tunstall, Danielle Ponder, Matthew Whitaker, Logan Ledger, Theo Kandel, Brooklyn Raga Massive, Innov Gnawa.
Sunday, August 8: FREE Washington Town Party, 12 – 10PM, with a tribute to our Town heroes, featuring: family fun, food vendors, makers market, old time barn dance, music by Jim Keller, Saints & Liars, Gretchen Meyer & Charles Meyer, and more.
ABOUT THE FOUNDERS
Stephanie and Tim Ingrassia founded Spring Hill Vineyards in 2006. In 2017, they began work on a wooded corner of their farm that has since become home to the Spring Hill Arts Gathering, evolving from a modest wine-tasting venue to a center for community celebrations and cultural exchanges. Stephanie is serial producer of creative construction and design projects, and is Vice Chair of the Brooklyn Museum. Tim is Co-Chair of Global Mergers and Acquisitions at Goldman Sachs, and a Trustee of the Brooklyn Public Library. The couple spend their time between Brooklyn and Spring Hill in Washington, CT.

The SHAG produces public programs that connect artists with nature, nurture diverse perspectives through creative collaborations and conversations, and share abundance within the Washington, CT community. Founded by Stephanie and Tim Ingrassia, this multi-day outdoor and semi-enclosed cultural program during summer 2021 culminates in the Washington Town Party, a free event that appeals to the entire community and celebrates local heroes that went above and beyond in the previous year.
