Summer Nutmeg Book Club for 4th & 5th Grades: Pizza and Pages!

Mondays, June 26 – July 31 from 4-5 pm

Get your summer reading done and have dinner at the Gunn Library! Join Ms. Ashley for a six week book club to read and discuss the Connecticut Nutmeg Nominee Scritch Scratch, by Lindsay Currie, “A ghost story about a malevolent spirit, an unlucky girl, and a haunting mystery that will tie the two together”.

Each week we will discuss our assigned chapters, practice challenging trivia questions and eat pizza from Washington Pizza! In partnership with Hickory Stick Bookshop, each participant will receive their own copy of the book that will be available at the circulation desk upon registration. Please pick up your book before the first meeting and begin reading the assigned weekly chapters. Registration is required

As part of our Summer Tri-Town Challenge with Burnham and Minor Memorial Library, All three libraries will be reading Scritch Scratch. We will celebrate the completion of our summer book club with a special Scritch Scratch trivia challenge night between the three libraries at Minor Memorial Library on Friday, August 4^th from 4-5pm.
