The Creator’s Game: A Virtual Presentation by Dr. Allan Downey

Dr. Allan Downey (Dakelh Nation) is an Associate Professor in the Department of History and Indigenous Studies Program at McMaster University. Among his numerous publications, Dr. Downey is the author of an award-winning 2018 book entitled The Creator’s Game: Lacrosse, Identity, and Indigenous Nationhood, which focuses on the history of lacrosse in Indigenous communities as a lens to understand Indigenous-non-Indigenous relations and Indigenous identity formation. Please join Dr. Downey, along with IAIS staff, for a virtual presentation about his research on this topic and the writing of this book.
