Find Your Om

One of the best ways to decompress is through the gentle movements of yoga. Washington Depot’s Valley Spirit Wellness Center as well as New Preston’s Ah Yoga offers a great selection of yoga classes that focus on releasing stress and calming the mind. Their skilled instructors catered to all experience levels and they will help heal your body and put your spirit at ease during every class. Both studios also offer mediation classes if you are looking for a moment to take a breath and center your mind.

Healing Therapies

If you are short on time, getting a massage or a healing treatment will help you relax and unwind for an hour. New Preston Wellness offers several different types of therapeutic massages that are sure to relieve your body’s aches and slowly calm your mind. But, if a massage is not your thing, try one of the acupuncture or energy healing treatments at Valley Spirit Wellness Center. Their practitioners are highly trained and will make sure you leave their studio feeling refreshed.

Curl Up With A Book

Nothing is better to slow down and relax the mind than getting lost in a book. Whether you are looking for a quick weekend read or a novel to really dive into, Hickory Stick Bookshop is the go-to place. From their wide selection of books, you are sure to find something that will captivate your mind and help you escape from any stresses in your life, even for an laid-back afternoon.

Be One with Nature

Getting outside and breathing in some fresh air is the ultimate way to relax. A walk through the quiet scenery at Washington’s Steep Rock Association’s preserves will definitely leave you feeling at peace. Our town’s natural beauty is on display at every hiking trail and the breathtaking views of the cascading landscapes and rustling waters will put you in a calm frame of mind.

Pamper Yourself

Treat yourself to a day of pampering at one of Washington’s fabulous salons.
