Then get ready for a refreshing hike or a slow winter stroll through some of the most beautiful spots in town.
For an easy stroll, visit Hidden Valley Preserve where you’ll come across the iconic Thoreau Bridge or enjoy a scenic walk around Lake Waramaug. For a walk along the Shepaug River, visit Steep Rock Preserve where you’ll find the Railroad Tunnel and views from the Steep Rock Summit. If you’re up for a challenge, then visit Macricostas Preserve and take the Meeker Trail up to Waramaug’s Rock for a breathtaking view of Litchfield Country.
