The Washington Lions Club will hold its annual Memorial Day lobster sale on Saturday, May 24th, from 9am to 1pm at the Washington Primary School Pavilion located at 11 School Street, Washington, CT.
Cooked and uncooked lobsters from 1¼-pounds and larger will be available. Pre-order by leaving a message at (860) 499-0783 with your name, phone number, and the amount and size of lobsters requested. Pre-orders may be made no later than 5 p.m. on May 22nd. All pre-ordered lobsters must be picked up before noon on the day of the sale. Payment is made at pick-up. Cash and check are preferred, but credit cards are also accepted.
The Lobster Sale coincides with the Field of Flags celebration, also hosted by the Lions Club. For a $5 donation, anyone may honor a veteran or member of the military by emailing [email protected] with the name of the member and the branch of service in which they served. Donations may be mailed to PO Box 1261, Washington, CT, 06793.
Proceeds from the Field of Flags and the lobster sale support several Lions Club initiatives, including the Washington Ambulance Association, scholarships for graduating high school seniors, and donations to other projects that benefit the town.
